Ciano Water Algae cartridge is a replacement chemical adsorbing media for algae reduction, to fit filters in Ciano aquariums. It removes nuisance nutrients such as Nitrate and Phosphate that algae thrive on and helps improve water quality.
If you are having problems with algae in your aquarium, it is worth following these few tips:
- Make sure your aquarium is not positioned in direct sunlight.
- Reduce the time that the aquarium light is switched on, not more than 8-10 hours is recommended.
- Add some algae eating fish, which you will find many different species in your local aquatic store.
Whilst using Ciano Water Algae cartridges, it is advisable to test your water with some Ciano Water Test Strips. You will need to pay particular attention to the NO₃ (Nitrate) level. If this is high, then you will need to have one of these cartridges in your filter. If the problem continues, seek advice from your local aquatic store.
